Rooted in Ethiopian soil. Built for global trade.
Since 2008 we've been a trusted bridge between Ethiopian highland farmers and international buyers.

A company built between fields and ports.
Founded by Yemisrach Getaneh
Founded by Yemisrach Getaneh in Addis Ababa, Yem Export was built on a single conviction: that Ethiopia's exceptional grains and herbs deserved a place on the global commodity stage — handled with the rigour international buyers expect.
Today we operate processing and quality-control facilities outside Addis, partner with more than forty farmer cooperatives across the highland regions, and ship containerized export-grade product to wholesalers, importers and food processors across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia.
We don't sell retail. Every relationship is a B2B contract grounded in specifications, traceability and consistent supply.
Four principles that govern every shipment.
Ethiopian Origin Sourcing
Single-origin teff, pulses and herbs traced to the kebele they were grown in. We source nowhere else.
Quality Control Process
Every lot is cleaned, graded, moisture-tested and lab-verified before bagging. Nothing leaves untested.
Farmer Partnerships
Long-term forward contracts with cooperative networks — fair pricing and predictable demand for growers.
Export Experience
15+ years of containerized shipping, customs clearance, and documentation handled by an in-house export desk.
Meet the founder.
"Founded by Yemisrach Getaneh, Yem Export is dedicated to delivering premium Ethiopian herbs and grains to global markets — while preserving authenticity, quality, and agricultural excellence."
An entrepreneur and lifelong advocate for Ethiopian agriculture, Yemisrach has spent over a decade building direct relationships between highland farmer cooperatives and international buyers. Her vision is to position Ethiopia as a benchmark of origin-grade quality on the world commodity stage.
Under her leadership, Yem Export has grown into a vertically-integrated exporter shipping to more than thirty countries — combining ancestral farming traditions with modern processing, traceability and export discipline.
